Founded as the Buffalo Braves before shortly moving to San Diego, the Clippers were then relocated to Los Angeles in 1984 without permission from the NBA. While they are often compared to hometown rivals, the L.A. Lakers, the Clippers haven't seen the same success as their Showtime siblings. That being said, under the guidance of DeAndre Jordan, Blake Griffin and Chris Paul in the 2010s, the Lob City lineup managed to reach the playoffs in five consecutive seasons—a first for the Clippers.
